Chaffinch

This morning, the temperature outside was -6 deg C, and there were a dozen or more little birds on the ground beneath the feeders. I expected them to be sparrows or chaffinches, but it turned out that they were goldfinches.  There were more goldfinches on all the feeders, so I put out an extra sunflower heart feeder.  When the pigeons arrived, the goldfinches abandoned the ground.  I preferred this shot of a chaffinch to any of today's goldfinch ones.
