This is the day

Winter Garden Visitors

We’ve spent another day indoors today, not wishing to risk a walk. The middle of the road outside looks quite passable, having been gritted, but the pavements are another matter, so we’ve played it safe.

However, we haven’t been without entertainment because the garden has provided us with much to see and enjoy. Our resident fox has been very much in evidence, and I’ve spotted the lone redwing again. Add to that a few starlings have just started appearing, and the odd parakeet, not to mention our resident robin, goldfinches, blue tits and great tits. Oh, and there are always the pigeons and magpies. So we haven’t been lonely and it’s kept me frequently jumping up and down from my chair to grab my camera and record their presence.

There are more photos in extras, because I just couldn't resist! Another photo of the fox, and two collages; the first showing some of our other visitors (apart from the fox) and the second showing our garden bench, solar hot water panels and bird table all covered in snow.
