Chilly Chaffinch

It has been very cold today, well below zero all day, between -5 and -7 degrees according to the car thermometer, foggy too with poor visibility.
Lots of little birds in the back garden on the frosty tree, mainly chaffinches but some greenfinches & goldfinches. I can’t imagine being outside today without a coat, hat, scarf and gloves, all the little birds can do is fluff up their feathers.
