Doing a Grand Job

No brain power or imagination were wasted in thinking up the title.

The Grand Hotel was first opened in Torquay in 1881, in response to the Great Western Railway’s expansion into the South West.

During World War II, the hotel was requisitioned by the Royal Air Force, reopening as a hotel again in 1946. Allegedly there are messages and names written on the walls behind the wallpaper on the fourth floor.
Agatha Christie spent her honeymoon here in 1914, and there is a bedroom suite named after her.
