Seven!

Up early, packed and left, with Kt in bed feeling grotty with her cold and T off for a long and stressful day followed by a night at work…he’s always run into the ground this time of year!
Had my nails redone in Ampthill, a nice sparkly dark red colour, then headed north on my drive home. The motorway was clear and there wasn’t much sign of snow or frost a lot of the way so it was all straightforward.
I drove via Greenlaw to drop the last two dining chairs off at A&N’s and chatted to N for a while about Christmas arrangements and his parents’ disappointing decisions. The place was looking lovely with the log burner on and all their Christmas lights and decorations….they were so looking forward to sharing it all with them.
The Borders countryside was looking at its best as I drove through…more snow and white fields, hills and trees all around, and as the sun started to set they were all tinged pink…beautiful! Would have loved to stop and take a photo.
Dropped the car off at Vicky’s and swapped it for mine, then home and luckily found a parking space between the heavily frosted other cars on the street. My flat was perishing cold….I’d left several windows open and the heating off so it took a wee while to warm up! Chatted to A on her drive home, made some supper with stuff from the freezer and had several cups of tea then phoned AR to say happy birthday,..she was out for a Maccie D’s (her choice!) and was very understanding about my singing voice not holding up post-cold very well! Can’t believe she’s already 7 and enjoyed looking back on annual blips today to see her grow up!
Spent the evening writing lists…!
