Spring sunlight - Crosby Ravensworth

Before returning to Keswick, Gail and I took a walk over to Crosby Ravensworth for lunch in the Butchers Arms. We managed to get there and back clear of showers.

Had to be available to take Mike to / collect from school, otherwise we would have travelled south to the funeral of one of our dear guests and one of my close friends, Duncan, who retired only last November, broke his leg at Christmas, and was just recovering, when he went into his garden a couple of weeks ago and had a fatal heart attack. One of the best guys you'd ever meet - had looked after his Mum until only a couple of years ago, and was really looking forward to a retirement where he could pursue his hobby. Such a shame

This photo's for you Duncan.

Back at Keswick, raining and very overcast - forecast for the next week looks much of the same.
