Fractured light

After three days of grey, misty weather it was wonderful to see the sun today. After -4C overnight it took a while before the sun started to melt the frost - I caught our thickly rimed picnic table just as the sun was beginning to soften the ice crystals.

This was my only photo-opportunity in a day mostly spent report writing, but with a quick visit to Peterborough in the afternoon so that I could pay a cheque into the bank - a long time since I've needed to do that! We also took about half of the hoarded coins that CJ had bagged up for us which also went into our bank account - that should pay for some Christmas jollity!
