Redpoll

Delighted to see some more visitors to our garden. Today some redpolls and siskins joined the chaffinches, robins and dunnocks. Tonight's blip is this tiny redpoll , the first I have ever seen, twisting its head round to see where the other birds were.
Large might be worth a look for the lovely detail on and around the eye.

There were also some tiny birds emerging from the nests in the trees and It was great watching them test their wings as the sort of flew from twig to twig then disappeared back in to the nests.

This is one thing for which I must thank blipfoto as it has opned my eyes to all the nature around me and so close as well. Whatever the weather there is always an opportunity to find a blip in the garden now that i have learned to really look. So thankyou Joe and co!
