Mincepie Emergency

Not the best photo but it tells a story.  Left a load of bread and half a dozen mincepies on the chest freezer to cool.  Went out the room for 10 minutes, came back and one of the latter was missing, just a pile of crumbs and one raisin.  As many of you will know raisins are poisonous to dogs.  It was gone 7pm, M phoned the vet and she said to come straight over (she's on the other side of the island).  It was a nerve wracking drive, quite a bit of the road had been gritted but not all of it plus the deer seemed to have decided it was a good night to come out to play.  After much vomiting H confirmed that there was very likely nothing left in Jess's stomach but gave a bottle of a charcoal concoction to put in her dinner.  Luckily Jess is pretty greedy and will eat almost everything (including, it turns out, quite a lot of deer poo).  So very grateful to H for being such wonderful and kind vet and to J for holding Jess's head whilst she emptied her stomach of mincepie and deer poo!
