Mr Woodpecker

Today's the day ...................... for a free lunch 

A welcome and very smart visitor to the feeders today in the shape of this male woodpecker.  His preferred food source is usually the fat balls but as they needed replenishing, he was forced to peck at the peanuts instead.

You could tell that he thought that was too much like hard work - and before long he flew off - in search of something a bit more appetising .................!
