When I heard the joiners rumbling outside to get their lunch I thought it would be a good time to pop to the kitchen to get my lunch, only to find everything covered in a thick layer of plaster dust from where they'd hacked a channel in the remains of the plaster at the top of the north wall to fit an edge for their plasterboard frame, without having paused to install some sort of dust capture or prevention. Fortunately they hadn't been doing anything with the water supply today so I was able to relatively quickly collect all the exposed dishes and pots and give them all a shower.
