Lovely but inconvenient!

I had hoped that the drive would have thawed out overnight, but it was not to be. The temperature stayed above zero and it's been up to 5 degrees today, but there's still a lot of ice out there. If we can't get down with the car tomorrow then it looks like we'll need a taxi to go for the overdue weekly shop!

We've had a bit of light rain today and it's been quite windy, so it's an emergency Blip this time. This rather inconvenient succulent is Rhipsalis cassutha, a very pendulous forest cactus which enjoys a moist atmosphere and indirect light. It's supposed to be the only genus of cactus native to the Old World, though it also grows in parts of Central America and northern South America. It has tiny. delicate white flowers at this time of year - there are a number of other species.

It's an easy plant to grow, but I don't really have a space for it - it would be ideal in  a hanging basket. I'll have to work something out!
