The Big Hoose

I first visited this local mansion in the 1980s when it was a care home and I used to deliver library books to some of the residents.

Originally built in 1858, it was at one time home to the Denny family of Clyde shipbuilders. More recently, after the care home closed, it reverted to being a family home, but despite being on the market for several years now, it continues to lie empty and fall into disrepair.
