Impulse Journey

Well not totally but, until this morning, we were not sure we would do this. We are on our way to Poole in Dorset (2 to 3 hours away) to look at and hopefully reserve a camper van. It’s been our dream for years and finally we hope it’s going to come true.

We have had horrendous trouble with our new roof due to the sudden heavy snow that stopped the roofers halfway through. We simply couldn’t leave the house untended in its very vulnerable, half finished condition. The roofers came out this morning and managed to get a good chunk of it done. Still not complete and still leaking a little but we put loads of tarpaulin and buckets around the loft and decided to go. We had already missed out on one van so we couldn’t miss this last opportunity.

So here we are in a Travelodge to break the journey and will get to Poole tomorrow. Back home tomorrow sometime. Jak is in a state of confused shock and now fast asleep still trying to work out what is going on. Tomorrow when we see the van we expect to be putting a deposit down.
