B.A.C.K. to Basics

Jackpot

Mercer was certainly the jackpot for our area as far as snow totals. Received a whopping 17” and it’s still snowing (albeit light). Expecting a half inch or more overnight. This stuff was no joke either. Heavy, wet, slippery kind of snow. The kind that sucks vehicles into snowbanks while plowing and only heavy equipment is suitable for snow removal. We found that out the hard way after Bjs plow truck got high centered and we had to pull out the tractor to finish our driveway.

When he came inside to recharge, I scooted across the street to deliver homemade apple cider donuts and to visit with Dari. We seem to always be going in opposite directions and never have time to chat. What a perfect day to do just that. I spent a few hours there and returned home to find the boys playing on their new toys! Snowmobiles we’re purchased in the off season so todays snow offered them a chance to have a bit of fun. And they did! The brrrrp of the machines whirring through the field.
