Great Tit (Parus major)

The only photo that I took today.  It has been surprisingly warm compared to the past couple of weeks, and it looks like the temperature will hold until after Christmas though it is going to be very wet!

We had confirmation from the manager in Cape Town today that they will accept our French license if the International one does not arrive.  They are going to contact Durban where we collect our second car and will email us with their response.  We are still waiting.  It does mean though that we can now try and arrange some dates along the garden route.

I did a bit of tidying up in the garden and brought in a couple of plants that are not very happy in the greenhouse.  While we are away, I can leave some house plants with a friend, my orchids though I am still wondering what to do with them.  If we are away for a month, I never worry about them, but this is more like 9 weeks.

I then updated my blog for Christmas greetings.  Did a couple of repairs on the sewing front.  Sanded down a couple of Polyfilla jobs that I did a couple of days ago.  Mr C did a bit of painting around the walls where the shutters fit on the lounge windows.  The carpenter is planning to arrive tomorrow at 09h30 to put on the new shutters that he has just made.  We gave him the paint for them, so hopefully, all we have to do is drop them into place.

My fruit day today so Mr C is in the kitchen cooking for himself.

Thanks for all the kind comments regarding France losing the Football yesterday and for the December sunflower.

I hope that you are all getting better weather as we are at present, though we will be having a wet Christmas me thinks rather than a white one!  Take care and keep safe.
