Roller Skates

After two days of miserble weather, some welcome sunshine this morning. I wanted something more cheerful to blip today, after yesterday's rather anatomical-looking image so, out came my roller skates. Well not really mine, but they seemed to be a more cheerful subject, and brought back some memories. I can remember the early roller skates with their flat metal frames and leather straps and laces. The rollers always reminded me of the casters attached to furniture of the time. They were heavy, clunky and uncomfortable, a far cry from the modern version!
