The sun at the end of the tunnel

After dropping Mary off at her work place this morning, I went shopping for gloves.   I discovered that a lovely pair of fair isle gloves made at Hawick (just down the road from here) is cheaper than the same design made from acrylic in China.

When I got back home I finished off painting the woodwork in our kitchen which I started months ago - better late than never!
