Still on patrol

I intended cleaning the house today, but my friend popped round with a card and insisted I followed her back for a coffee.  How could I refuse?  Her daughter dropped by with her two children, so we spent a very happy hour being entertained.

This afternoon we’ve been out to a supermarket to pick up a few bits and pieces. “Should we wear masks?”.  “No, we should be ok in Waitrose” was the answer.  Famous last words possibly.

John Lewis have arranged for our faulty picture to be picked up tomorrow, but a separate driver will drop off the replacement.

On another issue I had to contact John Lewis about the non arrival of another item, which should have arrived a week ago.  They emailed back to say the item had gone missing but they would arrange for a replacement.

Another chestnut tree on the avenue has had to be felled.

Friend with dementia has now been taken home after her husband stated that he had power of attorney and could do what he liked.  The home fought to keep her, but he is now complaining that he can’t get her out of bed and is housebound himself.

The robin is still on patrol.
