Re-creation

Since today was another bright sunny day, we recreated much of the same itinerary we followed with L on Saturday.

With differences.

It's no longer snowy and icy underfoot. I couldn't quite re-create L's picture that I put in the extras (see here). After visiting Tarbat Ness, we went to see the Hilton of Cadboll stone (see extra). Then I got lost, a bit, driving to ANTA, but when we got there we couldn't have coffee or lunch as they were having their staff Christmas lunch. So we drove to Dornoch and first tried Milk and Honey (too busy), so ended up in the Eagle Hotel for lunch. It was fine. Adequate pub grub. I had to dip out of lunch for a while to do a call.

A few more purchases, and that was us home again as it got dark (via the supermarket).

A chilled afternoon and early evening, before Mr A produced an excellent venison supper and we drank a bottle of Greek wine with it. Not like the Greek wine of yore, of course.

We've been plotting a wee adventure for tomorrow and Thursday, and since supper we've been nailing that down and doing a bit of booking of trains and hotels.
