In conversation

This was probably the most intelligent conversation Chris had all day!  A wonderful pair of reindeers at the garden centre that were singing away (competing with the polar bears at the entrance!). The place was terrifically OTT Christmas and I'm hoping they've made a mint as they deserve it!

We were there for new Christmas lights and managed to find some on the depleted shelves. Now all Chris has to do is somehow get them on the tree (some redecorating will be happening I think).

S&D represented our branch of the family at Chris's uncle's funeral whilst we participated through the internet. We were so glad of the opportunity and so sad not to be able to make it there. His daughter is a celebrant and did a wonderful job, although it was understandably difficult for her at times. A kind, good man who spread a lot of love throughout his own community, friends and family - we will miss him hugely. 

Chris managed to wash the motorhome this morning on a nice,  sunny day and we've been reading up about the tasks we need to do to last it up for winter.  It did occur to us (far too late, of course) that we should've drained all the water systems, and sure enough, that's the big thing to do. I think we've escaped ruining everything but there are still some useful things to get done. Just been a bit preoccupied recently with Berry's  trip south and then the poor weather closing in on us. Etc!

It was great to see some different scenery today. I love where we live but I definitely needed to get out and a hair appt in town was a brilliant excuse!
