Winter solstice

This was the view looking up Dundas Street on my way to work, just over half an hour after sunrise this morning. Apparently, we have 6 hours and 57 minutes of daylight today - but from tomorrow it will start to stretch out a little. It’ll probably be a while before I notice any difference though. I always think January and February are fairly miserable months weatherwise, but several family birthdays break up the gloom.
