Arriving into Tenerife

A cold morning, but the snap of fingers (well a four and half hour flight) and suddenly summer again.

An early start at Edinburgh Airport, left for Tenerife.  Arrived on time at 10.15am, and a warm welcome from the sunshine.  Checked in to the hotel, Laguna Park II, which really needs it all, but clean, tidy, and a fine big pool.   Popped down the hill to Costa Adeje beach and strip, and what a walk back up again.  The local pharmacy temperature was reading 30⁰c, lovely.  A lazy afternoon by the pool, which is freezing but refreshing.  Okay meal tonight, and a few drams in the hotel.

I've visited all the big Canary Islands, apart from Tenerife, this is a first for me.  Looks much the same as Gran Canaria, but doesn't feel the same on first impressions, maybe biased as I've been there a few times and love it and know it.  Various Shetlanders staying here over the festive too, be good to meet a friendly face.  We have young lads staying either side of us.  They've let us know they are party animals, teenage ones at it, oh great.  Coming into the approach, Playa de las Américas, Tenerife.
