Light on the shortest day

The new flat has double glazed newly made 'Edinburgh' windows with deep sills; no shutters, though. They have blinds; in due course there will be curtains and window seat cushions. 

Out first thing to Marks & Spencer's on Princes Street (by the Rose Street entrance)  to buy things like fresh cranberries.  The store really badly needs re-thinking; and they don't do food delivery .. 
A second walk with my husband in the early afternoon.
