Hello sailors

These stone portrait medallions are on the exterior of the former Wool Exchange in Bradford - they represent, from left to right, Sir Walter Raleigh, Christopher Columbus (with a visitor on his hat) and Sir Francis Drake.

The building in Venetian Gothic style was built in the 1860s and was used by the wool traders in Bradford until the 1960s. It is now divided into shop units, with the spectacular main hall housing Waterstones Bookshop.
