Deception

Sunrise this morning looks so perfect but what is not seen here is the trees swaying to and fro and the temperature dropping instead of warming. It was in the 40sF when I got took this photo and now three hours later it is hovering at 32F…freezing. Debating about covering the camellia bush but the sun is shining so I will wait until it moves around so the bush is in the shade.

My son who lives in North Carolina has 2F (-16) with a wind chill of -21F. Which is why we will all be warm in our homes until next weekend!

I think I will do some baking. Maybe a cake with pecans and a coconut pie.
