#ThankYouCommanderHadfield

Been raining here most of the day, so it's another indoor blip.

I've been following, jaw-dropped at times, Commander Chris Hadfield for the past six months he's been aboard the International Space Station, and his twitter feed that has built into a fantastic photographic record that he's built up as he passes overhead, showing the sometimes unbelievable diversity this little planet has to offer. Would've been fantastic as a blip journal (a few of us have been trying to recruit him) but as it's his last day aboard the ISS we'll maybe push for his next mission.

It was way back in the 1970s that I last had such a keen interest in what was going on up there, but over this last six months he's single-handedly made it cool again.

So this little tribute, with my Rocket Blower and some lentils, is sent out to the Commander for sharing his time with us up there in space (and cyberpsace), and especially the wonderful photos he's shown us all. I've seen him mop up water in space and discuss hoovering his moustache to keep his stubble from floating away, but wonder how would deal with the hundreds of lentils I now have lying all over the place.

Safe home, and #ThankYouCommanderHadfield.
