Christmas Day

The end of the day, and I’m shattered as are all of us!  But what a happy awesome day we all have had.  The sun has shone and is been warm too.
An early start with Santa bags followed by pancakes etc for breakfast.
Then it was into the kitchen, to prepare the ham with cloves and glaze among many other chores.  Fortunately Janelle made a time schedule of when to put things on which helped immensely.
Our visitors arrived around midday, we started eating at 2.30 and it took all afternoon until around 5pm to complete the menu. We had a break to play some silly but fun ball games.

We’re not needing any food tonight.

We’ve just watched King Charles Christmas message, well done I thought.

Our Kiwi menu…

…Tray of extensive “befores” with drinks out on the terrace, (so warm we had to put up both umbrellas)
…Marinated Butterflied lamb on the bbq with dressing
…Warmed leg of ham, cranberry jelly
…New season potatoes from the garden
…New season carrots
…Baby peas
…Green salad with all the trimmings
…Broccoli salad (bacon, nuts, pumpkin seeds, cranberries and other bits and bobs)
…Pav rolls x 2
…Berry & chocolate brownie tiramisu
…Berries - blueberries, raspberries, strawberries.
…Whipped cream
…Christmas cake and a cup of tea.

Tired but happy….Merry Christmas to those that are just starting their Christmas Day.
I’ve taken far to many phone snaps, too many choices for blip, and I’m rather tired to sort through them.
