Happy Christmas

We managed to drag out lunch French style – all afternoon. I will add the photos tomorrow – one day late.
 
Amuse bouche 12h00 - Smoked salmon, cucumber, tomato and gougéres
 
Starter 1 pm – the last bit of smoked salmon, avocado and a small steak tartare.
 
Main course 2 pm –  A large Turkey leg and thigh which I deboned and stuffed, gosh how much easier to carve! Brussels sprouts, roasted baby butternut, pattypan, carrot, parsnip, and potatoes with yummy gravy.
 
Cheese course 3 pm - Cantal, Comte, Bleu d'Auvergne and camembert,
 
Dessert was planned for 4 pm but we both had a snooze, so it became 5pm :-)  It was cognac-drowned Christmas cake with marzipan and cream.
 
All washing up done between each course so no pile up of dishes etc.
 
All in all, it was a good day that ran very smoothly.
