A Day Out With Thomas.

Based near Peterborough, Cambs, the Nene Valley Railway is a Heritage site for enthusiasts of steam trains. It uses part of the preserved original London and North Western line. It is the official home of Thomas the Tank Engine, named by it's creator the Rev. W. Awdry in 1971. I have had an enjoyable day out with the grandchildren aboard Thomas. We alighted halfway through the trip to look at the various steam engines under restoration. It was delightful to watch the children waving their flags and chatting with the Fat Controller. In our party there were 3 small children and 15 adults !
