MonoMonday: "Raindrops" in Low Key

Carolina would like low-key raindrops for today's MM challenge. Fortunately she's happy for the drops to be either real rain or obtained otherwise, as it's been a dry bright winter's day here. So here you have droplets of condensation on the windows of my little study - overnight it had been quite cold so the condensation was even more noticeable than usual. This shot was deliberately underexposed and is virtually straight-out-of-camera: it was almost monochrome anyway.

For a more lateral-thinking response to the challenge, the extra (a rather fabulous pattern on an icy puddle photographed on my morning walk) shows what can happen when raindrops collect together then freeze.

(They're both best when viewed large.)
