Persimmon in a Plum Tree?

Regrettably we share our persimmon harvest with the wildlife.  Birds peck at the hanging fruit, piercing the skin and scoop out the pulp. The squirrels pick the fruit and leave the partially eaten fruit in various locations.  One was left in the crook of the trunk of our elephant heart plum tree.  I found another on the fence, one on the rose trellis and yet another tucked inside the branches of the lemon tree!
