Birthday Blessings

A very low key 64th birthday today, spent mainly on the continuing job of sorting the house, and trying to get rid of stuff; we just don't have room for everything.

But a few miracles:
- us waking at around 5am, and Mike remembering it was my birthday (he's been known to greet folk arriving for my party at the end of the day, not realising why they were there)
- managing to go back to sleep for a while
- the most beautiful morning; the mist was disappearing by the time we got up, but every raindrop was sparkling; imagine asparagus like this shining all over our Land...
- picking the wild asparagus, and having it for lunch, sitting outside in warm sunshine
- seeing the Lake even higher, and utterly still in the gentle colours of a post sunset

Gratefuls:
- Mike making me a spice rack for my present (might Blip it tomorrow)
- all the kids FTing, and loads of moving messages from folk in Brazil
- gradually making progress on the sorting, but the continuous decisions are exhausting (I need a visit from Marie Kondo!)
