2 cows and a cross-channel ferry

This photo was taken on Ballard Down, between Studland and Swanage. The Down forms a brilliant high level ridge to walk along, and gradually slopes down to the sea, and eventually to Old Harry rocks (blipped here, by Houblon).

The weather managed to stay fine (just) and we had an excellent walk. Houblon was very happy to ride on a Deltic later, as well. Those machines are beasts. When you stand next to them, your whole body shakes from the noise of the engine...
