Thank you so much for the kind things you said to me yesterday.

When you have annoying things to do, but you are very busy with other things, it is very easy to postpone the annoying things. The great thing about having a smooth, mellow day is you get to do all those .... annoying things. I am so glad I had a smooth, mellow day.

The accuracy, speed, etc of Ukrainian strikes has dramatically increased thanks to software developed by Palantir, a US tech firm. Let's just not discuss who founded it. It gives Ukraine artificial intelligence and a huge advantage over Russia. Russia is fighting WWI. Ukraine is way ahead. The software uses intel from satellites, heat sensors, drones, spies, and Ukrainians pinpointing locations on an app.

The United Arab Emirates is providing 2,500 generators to Ukarine for winter. These are household sized.

Kazakhstan sent 41 generators for health facilities, which is perhaps another sign of Russia's waning influence.

EU countries have given more than 1,000 power generators and international support has reached almost $1.5 billion. Over 200 cargoes of energy equipment has already arrived with more coming every day.

A number of Japanese insurers will stop insuring ships for war damage in Russian waters, effective January 1. If you bring your ship into those waters and sustain damage that the companies decide is war-related, you will not be covered. Before you could pay for extra expense war-related coverage.

Not only are Ukrainian troops more motivated than Russian troops, not only are they getting state-of-the-art cold weather gear from Canada and fabulous wool sweaters from Iceland, their supply lines are shorter and their troops are able to rotate in and out from the front lines, allowing them to rest and recuperate.

Bombing civilian infrastructure has almost never resulted in success on the battlefield. Plus, Ukraine isn't producing its own weapons, so the bombing of infrastructure doesn't help Russia that way either.

Russia is desperately trying to capture the city of Bakhmut, with a desperation that makes no sense given its strategic importance, which means it is important for propaganda or politics. The Wagner Group is fighting there and it would make them look good to win. Despite their efforts, they are moving forward in inches. Recently the Russian artillery fire has been slowing down, possibly because they are running low on it.
