Curiosity

It is a curiosity to me that the shark corpse that first appeared at my sit-spot nearly three weeks ago showed up again today, not a foot from its first location, which is well below the high tideline. The whole body is there, intact but this was the better picture in low light conditions.

We've had high tides and high winds on many days between that date and this. So how is this possible? I'm vaguely hoping that a blipper who knows something about tidal movements might pass by and have an answer.
