Caroline Bay Carnival

It’s been hot today, like really hot!
We (less Lexi and her Dad) walked the cliffs to the Jacks Point Lighthouse and beyond.  It took us an hour.
This afternoon we went down to the Caroline Bay Carnival.  This runs daily from Boxing Day to the 8th January, and very popular if the weather is right.  Well it certainly was today.
They have two concerts daily, rides, a games area, beauty pageants (duh), sand modelling competitions, food trucks, mini golf and lots of other goings on.
This afternoon there was an hour concert performed totally by an Auckland Band - the Tom Petty Revival Band, very good and well received.
Home for a BBQ dinner with salads, followed by cheesecake and ice cream.   It’s the GF cheesecake I made a couple of weeks back and put in the freezer.  If I say so myself to was very good.
My blips shows Ella and Harry on the Roundup, the three of them on the Chairoplane, Lexi on the Merry Go Around, and of course candy floss and face painting has to be done.
The extra shows the family melting on the steps of the Sound Shell while watching the concert, and other carnival snaps.
