A pretty large and potentially quite old ash tree had to be felled at Matthew,s place of work and it is likely to be used as firewood so I rooted around for a piece of a manageable size to split and turn into spindle blanks for wood turning. Unfortunately most pieces are either too small or too big but I've managed to get about 6 bowl blanks and maybe a dozen spindle blanks to play with.
