Christmas Tree Fisheye Zoom

I sat watching the TV last night, Well the TV was on but I was not really watching it,  and I started thinking about what would happen if I used the Canon 8-15mm fisheye zoom on the lights of the Christmas tree. In particular, what would happen if I zoomed from the wide / circular 8mm end to the rectangle 15mm end using a slow shutter speed. I have dome this before using a ‘normal zoom’ and the swirl of lights can be quite appealing. The difference with this zoom is the black circle at the start of the zoom.

Interesting - need to play some more.
