Betty!

As part of my Christmas present from Tim and Adele was a ticket to see Betty! at the Royal Exchange in Manchester.
We drove over midday and found parking easy as part of the theatre deal.
I’m always blown away by this theatre in the round built inside this iconic building.
We loved Betty!  Funny, poignant and surreal. Based on Betty BoothrOyd, the first woman speaker of the House of Commons.
The cast were brilliant and Maxine Peake who starred in it was co writer.
She really was Betty.
