Angie, angry & frustrated about her car, asked me to come with her to visit car showrooms in Memmingen.

We started at the first place from the autobahn exit. One huge business which has large but separate showrooms & workshops for VW, Audi, Seat & Škoda.

Walked into Škoda showroom & were basically ignored, although we were the only customers. After asking at reception, told had to wait 30 minutes for someone. So we did, watching a salesman sitting at a computer & eating a sandwich. When he was finished, he called us over, without even standing up. I didn't follow Angie. She was then treated in worse kind of macho way - women don't know & don't need to know anything about cars, if you want any details or material, it's on the internet. Yes we have a few cars on stock but in our other garages in the area and no I'm not getting off my arse to show you a demo car (there were none in the showroom). We walked out went next door to Seat, also ignored, we left & walked across the road to VW. Ignored again, walked to Audi forecourt, we looked at cars outside on display & left.

Drove 100 metres to the next garage, Nissan. From the moment we put a foot in the showroom, we were greeted very friendly, asked if we needed any help. Within an hour or so Angie had a written offer in her hand, prospectus, offer of test drive... she was tempted to sign on the dotted line. She waited 15 hours.

So now a new, British built, Qashqai is being prepped up & should be available by the end of the month. It's only just arrived/arriving at sister garage in the area.
