In spate

This morning 2 men came to connect us to the fibre broadband (I think they had to dig up a couple of plants in the process but they were cheap ones) and now my pics are loading almost instantly - about time as it's been dire these last few days.
We cleared up from yesterday and the house, downstairs, anyway, is reasonably tidy and opened a big pile of post with several magazines to read.
After lunch the rain stopped (and we even had a bit of sun) and so I went for a run to ASDA to get a couple of small things and went via the ponds. I did wonder if it would be through the ponds after the wind and rain but not quite, in the extra you can see how near the path the burn was. The main shows how high the burn is, only about a third of the sluice gate is above water and the burn is coming round it.
