Demolition Progress

This former high school was built in 1911 to replace a 1906 building that burned down. The new school was build mostly of concrete, and it was constructed on the ruins of the original school. After allowing the place to fall into disrepair, the school board has suddenly decided that it would be too expensive to renovate the century old school, and the building is too heavy to move, so it must be immediately torn down. Today I checked on the progress of the demolition work. They are currently removing the asbestos from the school before it can be razed.
