Reef Protected

This trimaran is moored just inside the reef off the owner's private dock. It was such an arresting sight that I made a hard right off the highway to take the foto. With the centerboard up and an outboard motor hanging off the back, it has an unusual configuration, truly one of a kind. As the swells came through it would rock on its plantoons. Pretty shallow water in the foreground with the rock breaking the surface. At first glance I thought it was a boat in distress ON the reef.
