Fleeting Visit

This morning I was lucky to coincide with a very brief visit by a Brixham Trawler called PROVIDENT
A beautiful old working vessel which I hope suits the backdrop of Castle Cornet etc.
This blip does show an eclectic mix of ancient and modern.
The skipper of Provident was having a few problems controlling her I think because the wind was not ideal, it was a constricted space for a sizeable boat and these long keeled vessels are notoriously determined to ignore any pressure to manoeuvre!
He did okay and she soon rounded the harbour and set off once more for open sea.
It is brilliant that so many of these old ships still exist, particularly in France and they are quite regular visitors!
