Ipanema

Bright sunshine today.  A relaxed morning and we brought a few little nibbles round the block for later tonight.  A walk in Ipanema, keeping in the shade now!  Lunch at Vinicius de Moraes which is on the opposite corner from the more famous Garota de Ipanema restaurant. I have a soft spot for Vinicius because the elderly waiters looked after me and made me feel comfortable eating on my own there when I was in Rio for a month on my own running a CELTA course in (I think) January 2008.

We walked home to Copacabana, enjoying the atmosphere and everywhere preparing  for the firework show tonight - the first in 3 years..
