HNY

A day of prep for friends coming over; ( I’ve only lots of rubbish photos of the evening or of our friends I don’t think are right to post so here’s one I made earlier) .

However it was an excellent time! We had a hot stone and a fondue - it was really good fun. My boys helped a lot with the prep and were perfect waiters/ mixologists/ general good eggs.

We played Perudo, had fireworks and sparklers and watched Hootenanny (sp?)

It was hilarious watching our friend R getting less sober shall we say :) the boys wisely said afterwards it was because he’d gone from grape to grain and back to grape ( Prosecco, red wine , Old Fashioneds , and champagne!!) His wife dragged him home eventually…

It was good to connect with dear friends at midnight by phone, and here’s to more of that!

Late to bed at 2am, I’m the only one up and just about to start hand washing the mountain of glasses.
