Hogmanay, 2022

We had a lovely evening ! J's Mum agreed to taking another covid test and her test was negative . Such a relief as it's been hard to support her and keep ourselves safe.
We watched the film 'Yesterday ' on BBC I-Player - it was funny and cheerful and brought back so many memories of when we were young :)

I was really delighted by some fleeting snowfall as we lit our firebowl and we watched the snow falling illuminated by the street light as long as it lasted . So quiet, and also no sounds from the other side of the river this year at the bells . We poured some French bubbly wine that was a gift at Christmas and enjoyed a peaceful , somewhat reflective Hogmanay. Just the two of us.

A friend shared this lovely version of Auld Lang Syne sung by a young Paolo Nutini . It is so beautiful! But the singing of it always makes me weep with all the memories it evokes.
Life is so precious, and loss of loved ones never leaves.

Wishing you all pockets of happiness in all your days - Happy New Year Blip friends.
