International New Year at Stirling Castle

While struggling to take a selfie up at the castle this afternoon this young woman stepped forward and offered to take one for us. (See instagram).
 
Well we fell into conversation with her, as you do especially on New Years Day in Scotland and it turned out Rosa is from Panama and she is on honeymoon. 
 
Some time later we wanted another selfie sitting on the replica King and Queen’s chairs (thrones) in the Great Hall.  Again, another young woman saw us struggling and took it for us (see extra). She was from South Africa.
 
In fact in the course of the afternoon there was an international gathering of people from Brazil, India, America, South Africa, Panama and China as well as a sprinkling form Europe.
