Chasing the Deer

Back to the North Wood at Ballathie again to marvel at the bluebells.

As promised on Sunday we took GG with us this time.

Part of the way round, where the bluebells seem to thin out for a bit and the rhododendrons take over, Breagha disappeared into the undergrowth. Some whistling failed to get a response - then we heard her. When she's chasing something she gives of a funny continuous high-pitched yelp.

Out of the rhoddies right in front of us jumps a fallow deer, with little Breagha in hot pursuit. Two bounds later the deer is off in the distance leaving a startled cocker standing in the path wondering where it went.

We kept her on the lead for a while after that.

The rest of the day we spent in the garden as the forecast showers never materialised and the sun shone. You can see just how blue the sky was in Big Boy Pants.
